Hello Adam!

More than a week ago, I brought Princess and The Rock to watch Hello Adam, a part of the PLAYtime! theatre series (for children aged two to four) presented by Esplanade.

I was glad to be introduced to this play by the homeschool group I am part of as I could finally bring The Rock to the theatre! He had to sit out on the previous plays that Princess went for as he was under-aged. This one was perfect for him, in fact children of his age are the target audience!

So what is a play for two to four year olds like?

"BI...G"

"YELLOW!"

"Balls!"

Yes, mainly short phrases in the dialogue, many a times only one word was uttered. Really less is more. Is it boring to watch? Far from it judging from the audience' response; most of the little tots were fully engaged. They enjoyed the exaggerated body language and expressive voices, some parts of the play were even interactive!

Hello Adam theme was "Discover Movement" so the little audience were introduced to some verbs (related to movement) and were taught some "cool moves"!

"Floating."

Colourful balls were poured out at the finale and the children were thrilled!

"Shoot!"

Hello Adam has ended its run but Hello Yasmin (Discover Growth) would be performed in February 2014. You can find the details here.
